Bleed — 3mm past the trim. Imposition — page layout on the sheet. CMYK — process inks. Resolution — dpi, 300 minimum.

Weight — gsm. Coated — smooth finish. Offset — uncoated, for text. Self-adhesive — label stock. Gloss — shiny coated.

Offset — big runs, plates. Digital — small runs, plateless. Screen — textiles/uneven. UV — prints on anything. Flexo — labels/packaging.

Lamination — matte/gloss film. Folding — the bend. Creasing — a fold line. Spot UV — glossy details. Stamping — foil/die. Corner rounding.

Saddle stitch — thin brochures. Coil — notebooks. Perfect bound — glued spine. Hardcover — case bound. Thread sewn.

Run — order volume. Makeready — setup sheets. First-off — the check copy. Defects — run waste. Reprint — re-running.
