Getting to know the neighborhood

Infrastructure checklist before moving: what to check before signing the lease

What to check

  • Transport & commute

Commute time to work/school at rush hour — check it live, not on a map at night. Last evening transport, bike lanes, parking.

  • Schools & kindergartens

School rating, kindergarten queue, clubs within radius. District school assignment — real for your address, not 'nearby on the map'.

  • Shops & services

Groceries, pharmacy, post office/parcel point, bank/ATM, repairs. Evening opening — is anything open past 20:00?

  • Healthcare

District clinic/family doctor, real ambulance response time, 24h pharmacy, dentist.

  • Safety & noise

Visit the area in the evening and Friday night. Industrial zone/highway/railway nearby — noise, vibration, trucks. Street lighting.

  • Building & neighbors

HOA/housing office — entrance condition, tariffs, issues (leaks, lift). Neighbors: the district's Facebook/Telegram group — real complaints.

  • District development

Master plan: what will be built nearby — a mall or a boiler house. District history: flooding, soils, demographics.

  • Internet & coverage

ISPs at the address (fiber/ADSL), mobile coverage inside the flat, alternatives during outages.

Check the district at different times: weekday morning, Friday evening, weekend. Talk to future neighbors and the concierge — information you won't find in listings.
