Service contract

Contract types, signing procedure, and what to pay attention to

Step by step

  • Contract types

Until the end of martial law (indefinite) or fixed-term 1–3/3+ years. Age: 18–60 for enlisted/NCO, officers by quotas.

  • How to sign

Via AFU recruitment centers, TCC, or brigade recruiting (e.g., Azov, Khartiia, 3rd Assault have their own). Interview → medical board → training → contract.

  • Motivation & role choice

During recruiting you can choose a specialty (UAV, driver, medic, IT). A voluntary contract often allows choosing the brigade — a key advantage over mobilization.

  • Signing payments

Pay according to position/rank + allowances. Some brigades/programs offer one-time signing aid — ask the recruiter.

  • What to check before signing

Read the terms: duration, position, place of service, termination procedure. Get promises in writing; the contract is in 2 copies — one stays with you.

A contract is a voluntary path to service with the ability to choose unit and specialty. Compare terms of several brigades before deciding.
