Cold chain

Cargo
Cold chain rules: the reefer pre-cools BEFORE loading (it doesn't cool the cargo — it only holds temperature). A temp logger in the body is mandatory for pharma and recommended for food. Transshipment breaks are the most common failure point. Doors open cold: every open-door minute costs −0.5°C.
Regime
- Regime
- 0..+4°C
- Tolerance
- ±2°C
- Monitoring
- Logger strongly recommended (long haul)
Most common regime. +8°C for 4 hours = shelf life halved.
