Defrost 24h ahead, wash and dry. Shelves/glass separately in film. Doors — strap or soft retainer (no tape on enamel!). Transport upright; stand 4–6h before switching on.
☐ Washing machine
Transit bolts on the drum are mandatory — without them the drum smashes the suspension. Drain filter and hoses.
☐ TVs / monitors
Original box is ideal; else — screen against stiff cardboard + blanket + film, upright, nothing on screen. Never lay plasma/OLED flat.
☐ Glass & mirrors
Tape X across the glass (against shards), cardboard both sides, 'fragile' label. Upright.
☐ Sofas & soft furniture
Unscrew legs into a numbered bag. Stretch-film the whole surface; corners — cardboard. Lock mechanisms.
☐ Flat-pack furniture
Photos before disassembly, hardware in zip-bags per piece, fronts and shelves separated by cardboard/film. Chipboard dislikes re-disassembly — don't overtighten.
Materials: stretch film, bubble wrap for glass/screens, cardboard corners, tape, zip bags for hardware. Marker — room number + contents on every box. Measure freight lift and doorways ahead.
