Employment forms

Employment contract (staff), civil-law (contract, seasonal), sole-proprietor contractors. Seasonal workers — short-term employment or civil contracts.

Wages & taxes

PIT 18% + military levy 1.5% on wages; employer SSC 22%. Minimum wage ₴8,000 (2025) — the tax minimum.

Hiring documents

Application, employment contract, hiring order, job description, safety briefing. For farm workers — medical exam mandatory.

Seasonal workers

Harvest work — short-term contracts (up to 6 months) or work contracts. Piece-rate pay — per kg/ha, with a minimum guarantee.

Occupational safety

Briefings (initial, repeated every 3 months), work permits for hazardous jobs, PPE. Tractor drivers — tractor operator license.

Liability

Unregistered worker — fine of 10 minimum wages each. Workplace injuries — investigation and compensation.
