AI content rights
What's commercially safe, what's risky — a legal orientation
Core rules
- 1.Pure AI outputs: no copyright in most countries — anyone can use them
- 2.Your creative input (selection, arrangement, editing) is protected as a work
- 3.Commercial use: check the service Terms (paid plans usually allow it)
- 4.Not allowed: depicting real people without consent, selling in a living artist's style
- 5.Training on others' texts: Ukrainian and EU rules still forming — document sources
- 6.Client contracts: specify who uses AI, how, and who bears consequences
This is orientation, not legal advice. Key positions: US Copyright Office (2023+) — generations without human input can't be registered; EU AI Act — AI content transparency. Safest for business: paid plan + human editing + documented process.
