Plant → cover and timing for winter prep
• Hill up 20–30cm before hard frosts
• Cover with spruce/agrofleece at −10°C
• Don't cover before frosts — it rots
• Film only with ventilation
Main killers: not frost but rotting under film and rodents. Cover after stable frosts, remove gradually in spring.
