Kids' menu by age
6–12 months
Weaning from 6 months: vegetables (zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower) → grains → meat → fruits. One new food every 3–5 days to track reactions. Texture: puree → soft chunks by 12 months.
1–3 years
Family table, nearly salt-free. Portion = a tablespoon per year of age × dish. Hazard foods: whole grapes, nuts, popcorn, sausage chunks — cut or grind.
3–7 years
Routine beats menu: same meal times, breakfast mandatory. The 'half plate': ½ veggies/fruit, ¼ protein, ¼ grains. Offer 'carrot or cucumber' — not 'will you eat'.
School kids
Protein breakfast (eggs, cheese, yogurt) — focus for 2–3 lessons. School snack: fruit, nuts (if allowed), syrniki, not juices. A water bottle in the backpack is a must.
Picky eaters
The 10–15 exposures rule: offer new food repeatedly without pressure. Never use food as reward/punishment. Kid didn't eat — remove, next meal on schedule, not a snack.
What to avoid
Juices = sugar without fiber (max 120 ml/day after age 1). Sugary breakfasts — 40 min energy then hunger. Daily nitrate sausages — no. Salt — none before age 1.
