  Software register — free app (Diia/providers), runs on a phone; classic — hardware with fiscal memory.

• Exceptions

  Sales via bank branch/post, vending, market trade in certain cases — no register needed.

• Fines

  Sale without receipt — per-incident fine, larger on repeat; missing mandatory register — separate fine.

Software register is the fastest start: 15-min registration in Diia, receipts go to tax authority automatically. Keep Z-reports. Offline mode is limited — receipts queue locally without internet.
