Paternity leave

14 calendar days paid leave at birth (Art. 19-1 LC). Apply within 3 months of birth. Additionally: father can take part of mother's leave until child is 3 (Art. 20) and annual social leave for parents of children <15 (10 c.d.).

Since 2024 updated rules apply: father's leave at birth — up to 14 c.d., at once or in parts. Paid by employer at average earnings. Deadline — 3 months from birth.
