Measure the inseam: barefoot, back to the wall, a book pressed up to the crotch — distance to the floor. More reliable than height. Between sizes — a smaller frame is nimbler and 'sportier', a larger one comfier for long rides. Women and teens often fit better on a smaller frame + shorter stem.
