Winter losses: battery chemistry −10–15% at −10°C, cabin heating −15–25% (a heat pump is twice as efficient as a resistive heater), studded tires +5–10% consumption, short trips are worst (the cabin heats longer than the trip). Tips: pre-heat while plugged in, seat/wheel heaters instead of full heating, garage.
