Platform

Telegram/Discord to start — students are already there. Circle/Skool/own LMS — when you need calls, threads, tiered access.

Structure

Channels: announcements (admin only), per-module questions, wins/cases, off-topic. New student path: welcome → intro → first task.

Moderation

Pinned rules: no ads, no insults, spoiler tags for answers. Moderator replies <4h in work hours. Toxic student — private warning, not public drama.

Engagement

Rituals: weekly work reviews, challenge week, AMA with instructor. If the chat goes quiet for 2 weeks — ask students directly, not 'any thoughts?'.

Metrics

DAU/MAU activity, % of students with 1+ message, 'from community' sales source. A dead community is a liability — close it rather than keep a graveyard.
