Burning rules
Burning plant residues is banned year-round on fields, along roads, in settlements and forest belts. «Controlled burning» — only with SES permit.
Fines
Individuals: 3060–6120 UAH for burning; officials — up to 15,300; enterprises — 100k+ UAH plus forest/field damage.
Fire in garden
Bonfire on a homestead — open fire banned within 10 m of buildings and in dry windy weather; compost instead of burning.
How to report a fire
101 — SES; 102 — police if arson; forest fires — also regional forest protection. Give coordinates/landmarks.
Seasonal restrictions
During fire-danger season (March–November) stricter limits in forests and peatlands: bonfire bans, vehicle access permits.
The most common violation — spring grass burning: it causes most forest fires.
