Damage to the client's car during repair: mechanic error, bay fire, lift drop, theft from the shop premises.

Bailee liability (car in custody), professional liability (work error), product liability (installed part turns out defective).

Per-event and aggregate annual limits. For shops servicing expensive cars, a limit below the average car value is pointless. Deductible 1–5% of loss.

Insurer evaluates: intake act with photos, client contract, work order. Without documents you won't get paid.

Natural wear, pre-existing hidden defects, damage on a test drive without agreement, intentional staff damage.

Photos of the car at intake from all sides, bay cameras, signature that no valuables are inside. Photo documentation resolves 80% of disputes.
