Cargo insurance (CMR)

Carrier liability under CMR is only ~8.33 SDR/kg (~€10/kg): a 20t cargo is covered for ~€200k max even if worth €1M. Full value needs a separate cargo policy (all risks): ~0.08–0.3% of value depending on cargo (electronics/alcohol costlier, timber/metal cheaper) and route. Forwarder liability — yet another separate policy.
