What to do in case of delay, cancellation or overbooking
EU Regulation 261/2004
Protects passengers on flights departing from the EU (any airline) or arriving to the EU with an EU airline.
Flight delay
2+ hours delay
- ✓ Free drinks and meals
- ✓ 2 phone calls or emails
3+ hours delay
- ✓ All of the above
- ✓ Compensation €250–600 (depends on distance)
5+ hours delay
- ✓ Full ticket refund
- ✓ Return flight to the departure point
Overnight at the airport
- ✓ Hotel at the airline’s expense
- ✓ Transfer to and from the hotel
Flight cancellation
If your flight is cancelled, you are entitled to:
Alternative flight
The earliest available flight to your destination
Full refund
Within 7 days if you no longer want to travel

Up to 1500 km
Example: Kyiv → Warsaw

- • Compensation is not paid for extraordinary circumstances (weather, strikes)
