Rentals for displaced people (IDP)

Get an IDP certificate (Diia/CNAP) before searching: it unlocks rental payments, humanitarian programs and social benefits. Passport + certificate = the minimal contract package.

IDP rent compensation (eDopomoha), 'Shelter' by international orgs (IOM, NRC), UN cash assistance and local subsidy programs — check current terms, they change quarterly.

If living free with volunteers/relatives — put at least a simple written agreement: term, utilities, move-out terms. It protects both sides.

Ask for an IDP discount — many landlords give 10–20%. Insist on a contract: it is required for compensations and subsidies. A photo handover act is a must.

Scammers target IDPs: flat 'booking' without viewing, agent prepayment without a contract, fake volunteer programs. Money only after signing and getting keys.

Residence declaration (not registration) is done without owner's consent — via CNAP. Needed for payments, kids' school and healthcare.
