Expansion tank

Water expands ~3.5% from 20→80°C. Tank = expansion / (1 − (Pstatic+1)/(Pvalve+1)). Rule of thumb minimum — 10% of system volume. The tank goes on the return line before the pump; pre-charge pressure = static water column to the highest point (10 m ≈ 1 bar).
