Medical boards

VLK

Military medical board — fitness assessment: categories A (fit), B (limited fit), C (partially), D (temporarily unfit), E (unfit). Documents: referral, medical card, specialty exams.

Pre-employment

Occupational exams for hazardous jobs: mandatory before hiring and periodically (every 1–3 years). Physicians per the hazard-factor list. Conclusion — into the personnel file.

Driver's exam

Medical board for a driver's license: therapist, ophthalmologist, narcologist, psychiatrist (on referral), neurologist if indicated. Conclusion in the official form — valid 6 months.

IT/office

For non-medical professions — only a basic checkup (therapist, ophthalmologist, fluorography). Companies often request a 'medical certificate' — primary doc form 086/o.

Board paperwork

The conclusion is issued on a form with the institution's seal and all board physicians' signatures. A form error = invalid. Keep a copy — the original often stays at the facility.

Appeals

Disagreeing with the conclusion: apply for re-examination to a higher board or sue. VLK — via military prosecutor/admin court. Occupational exam — the employer cannot ignore a negative conclusion.
