Hunter's & angler's glossary

Smoothbore — shot/slug, rifled — bullets at range. Gauge 12/16/20 — bore diameter. Choke — muzzle constriction for pattern. Insert — short chamber adapter for small gauge.

Driven hunt — with beaters. Stand hunt — from a blind/high seat. Stalking — approach hunt. Call — game voice imitation. Voucher — permit for a specific hunt. Trophy — scored in CIC points.

Ungulates: boar, deer, roe, elk. Furbearers: hare, fox, marten. Birds: pheasant, duck, capercaillie, black grouse. Each species — own season, method, limits.

Float, bottom rig, spinning, feeder — tackle. Groundbait — attractor mix. Bait — on the hook. Landing net, keepnet, fishfinder. Cast — zakid. Bite — klyov. Strike — setting the hook.

Hunting license — hunter's ID. Gun permit — smoothbore/rifled registration. Voucher — one-time hunt permit. Control card — harvest record.

Core rules: target identified → sector clear → loaded only in position → never toward people. Drive signals are learned before going out.
