Polyculture

Polyculture uses every food niche: carp feeds on the bottom, silver carp filters plankton, grass carp eats vegetation (and controls overgrowth). Ukrainian classic: 70% carp + 20% silver carp + 10% grass carp. Add predators (pike/zander) carefully — they eat young carp; stock together only when carp outgrows the predator's mouth. Never stock crucian carp in a carp pond — they win the competition.
