Dear Sir/Madam,
RE: Warranty claim under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
I am writing to make a formal claim under the warranty in respect of the following goods purchased from you:
PRODUCT DETAILS
Product: [Product Name and Model]
Date of purchase: [Date of Purchase]
Warranty period: [Warranty Period, e.g. '12 months from date of purchase']
NATURE OF THE FAULT
[Describe the defect or fault in detail, including when it first appeared]
LEGAL BASIS
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. As the fault has arisen within the warranty period and through no fault of my own, I am entitled to a remedy.
As the goods are defective, I request that you:
1. Repair the goods; or
2. Replace the goods; or
3. Provide a full refund of the purchase price.
I expect a response within 14 days of the date of this letter. If the matter is not resolved satisfactorily, I reserve the right to escalate the matter to the Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme or to Trading Standards.
Please confirm receipt of this claim and advise how you intend to proceed.
Yours faithfully,
