Education document recognition

Recognition (nostrification) of Ukrainian certificates and diplomas

Stages

  1. 1

    Apostille

Diplomas/certificates are apostilled via the Ministry of Education (educational documents) — 1–20 days depending on type.

  2. 2

    Translation

Sworn translation into the recognition country's language; some require consular certification.

  3. 3

    Application to the recognition body

ENIC-NARIC in the target country (ZAB in Germany, KWSP in Poland, CIMEA in Italy) — application + documents + EUR 100–300 fee.

  4. 4

    Decision

2 weeks – 3 months. Outcome: full recognition / partial (with program differences) / rejection with appeal right.

Recognition is needed for master's admission/professional work in most countries. Start the apostille in Ukraine before leaving — it is much slower from abroad. For bachelor's admission many universities accept the certificate directly via uni-assist.
