  40–60mm solid or 2×18mm plywood + MDF top; weight means stability, no creaks.

• Vise

  Front/tail woodworking vises are the bench's heart; quick-release changes work quality.

• Organization

  Wall tools by 'hand frequency', a chip bin, outlets at bench level +0.5m.

A bench must never wobble — that's check #1. If it wobbles: reinforce the frame, add cross-members, clamp to the wall. A plywood top inset 'oversized' swaps out in a minute.
