Returns & refusal
Intake
Consumer law forbids refusing repair without grounds. The intake act is mandatory: condition, completeness, visible defects, reported fault.
Lawful refusal
Grounds for refusal: unrepairability (technically justified), unavailable parts (documented), client can't pay, a hidden defect that rules out repair.
Paid diagnostics
Diagnostics is chargeable if the client declines repair — but only if the intake act warned about it. Without a warning, payment isn't required. Diagnostic results — in writing to the client.
Return
The device is returned in no-worse-than-received condition. Used parts — per client consent to keep or return to them. Delayed return — the service's liability.
Deadlines
Repair deadline — in the act. Delay — legal penalty (usually 1%/day of cost). 'Repair without a deadline' — a violation; the client can demand return with damages.
Disputes
Client claims damage — the photo intake act settles it. Client complaint — in writing, 14 days to respond by law. Refusal without an act — an almost certain loss in a dispute.
