GPS guidance savings

Without guidance a driver overlaps adjacent passes by 8–12%, with parallel driving — 2–3%, with RTK — <1%. Savings on seed, fertilizer, crop protection and fuel are proportional to overlap reduction. An RTK system costs $3–8k, pays back on 300–500 ha in a season or two. Bonuses: night/dust work, field maps, less driver fatigue.
