• Formative: Feb–Mar before bud swell
• Sanitary: year-round — dry/diseased branches
• Rejuvenating: early spring
• Grafting: Apr–May (whip grafting)
Golden rule: stone fruit — after flowering, pome fruit — before sap flow, grape — autumn or before sap flow. Disinfect tools between plants.
